Mandarin twins for 1st Oct, 2010

Please welcome my mandarin twins! I love mandarin and have been doing mandarin macarons for years privately. Time to share them around.

  • LUCY milk: mandarin and milk chocolate ganache.
  • JULIE white: mandarin with rose ganache.

And again this week is HERBERT dark: subtle peppermint in dark ganache.

Note that the café now starts selling the macarons around 10am and there is usually a limit of four per person to be fair to everyone. For new visitors, the macarons tend to sell out within an hour sometimes a little slower.

    I sampled the mandarin with rose ganache and it was simply devine. The shell was perfect, crunchy and chewy. Oh how I wish I had another for afternoon tea.
